If you know anyone living in the East Bay area and want to join, please have them contact Sandra W.

RED POWER DIVAS: I hope by reading our material and talking to others, you understand the purpose of Red Power Divas. However, I have been asked by a number of people what the name means or why I chose this name.

Red: I chose red because it grabs attention and stands out and does not sink into the background. I chose the color red because in many culture including American culture red is power, hense the red power tie of business people and the red carpet for celebrities and VIP’s.

Power: I choose the word power for empowerment of women.

Divas: I chose Diva because it was originally defined as a woman of rare outstanding talent. I like that definition and have expanded it to the following:

Determine: A woman who is not afraid to step out of her comfort zone and push her limits to do something different, with confidence, attitude, and moxie.
Individual: A woman who understands that she is unique and will not allow others define her.
Valuing: A woman who values all aspects of her life including family, friends, work, church and herself and seeks balance in all those things.
Accomplishments: A woman who appreciates everything achieved in life knowing that it only enhances who she will become in life’s future.
Support: A woman who understand the value of relationships and the power of giving support and is not afraid to accept support when needed.
