SATURDAY SAN JOSE TRAINING JULY 21, 2007:
Seminar for Saturday will focus on diet and healthy snacks
First 24 people will receive a HMR Chocolate Health Bar
Raffle will start also at 8:00 a.m.
Those who are participating in the Wharf to Wharf are encourage attending Saturday’s training and walk or run one or two miles.

ACCIDENTS DO HAPPEN. Each year, over 450, 000 of us are taken to hospitals unconscious and without Identification. If you experience unexpected injury or sudden illness, when not at home, don't you want those who come to your aid to have quick easy access to your IDENTITY.
Road ID is one of the best resources for IDs that can be put on your wrist, ankle, or shoe. The website is www.roadid.com. Their IDs are very reasonably priced-around $20 & shipping is very cheap. I'm going to email the owners & see if I can get some coupons to make it even cheaper.
Diva Emily B. has emailed the owners of Road ID & they have agreed to send her discount coupons for any Divas that want to order Road IDs. In addition, if the Divas submit everyone's order together, they will waive the shipping fee & ship everyone's ID together. As soon as she gets the flyers, she will bring them to the training. Any divas that are interested are welcome to speak to her or they can email her.

SAN JOSE ROCK & ROLL HALF MARATHON
We are twelve weeks away from the San Jose Rock & Roll Half Marathon. There is still plenty of time to train. However the event is limited to the first 15,000 participants. If you intend to register, please register as soon as possible. TRAINING MODIFICATION: Please look for the new training calendar that will include additional intervals for the balance of July and the August Training calendar.
INTERVALS: Interval training modification: We will train two times a week. Tues & Thurs at 110 meter intervals at two miles. I will email out a more detailed training calendar over the weekend
Warm up one mile
110 meters at normal pace
110 meters at intense pace ( walking or running)
Repeat for a total of one mile one day a week and two miles the alternate day of the week.
2007 SANTA CRUZ TO CAPITOLA WHARF TO WHARF
Red Power Divas have at least ten members entered in the Wharf to Wharf. I am also entered in this event. If you want to run together here are the following logistics
LOGISTICS:
1. Review your race map. There is free parking in two locations in Santa Cruz. At the Government Center on Ocean Street and the nearby River Street Parking Plaza.
2. Please arrive by 6:30 a.m. at well meet at the entrance. We can take the shuttle to the start or walk to the starting line.
3. Race starts at 8:30 a.m.
4. If you have a problem on Sunday and want to contact me please call on my cell phone (510) 882-4334. I will have it on starting at 5:00AM. This cell phone is rarely on BUT I will make an exception for Sunday.
5. Reminder: Bring water bottle, sun screen, hat, Diva shirt, sun glasses and Diva Spirit.
